When it comes to items that have an active spell effect, the Crown of the Death Lord and the Thunderlizard Diamond come to mind. The other two items he rewards you with aren't as good Firehand Gauntlets giving 20% attack speed would be better if you could keep Samuro, but the Bladebane Armor giving a level 1 Devotion Aura is weak.

Later on, however, it doesn't do enough to justify filling a slot, especially if you equip your whole team with Necklaces of SI.Īs for other stuff, when you finish Nazgrel's quest to kill Bloodfeather, I always like going with the Arcanite Shield, as it helps a lot with survivability. Very handy for dealing with debuffs until you can get Necklaces of Spell Immunity. The Sobi Mask is also a good one on Rokhan early on, but you don't need to buy it just find the Bronze Dragon to the south of the Thunder Phoenix lair and kill it for a free Sobi Mask.Īnother one I find really useful early-to-mid game is a Staff of Negation, which you can sometimes find as a drop. Gives +200 max mana and a level 1 Brilliance Aura, which can be invaluable to summon more Quillbeasts and Serpent Wards, and to let Chen use his spells more liberally. For the early game, I find one item I can't go without is the Mindstaff, which you can find just a bit to the west of Drek'thar's shop outside Orgrimmar's walls.
